During his recent tour of New Zealand, Prince Harry spotted someone familiar in the crowd: it was the woman who helped him stay strong after his mother, Prince Diana, tragically passed away when he was younger.
Vicki McBratney was a former teacher of Harry’s — they haven’t seen each other in 18 years. The two reportedly bonded over the deaths of their mothers. McBratney’s first day on the job was the day of Princess Diana’s funeral.
“My goodness, I remember you. Long time no see,” Prince Harry said to her, according to The Telegraph.
McBratney told reporters she was happy he recognized her, and glad her kids got to meet him.
