Just as Joely Fisher was able to muster up words to mourn the loss of her half-sister Carrie Fisher, tragedy struck again with the passing of Debbie Reynolds, Carrie Fisher’s mother.
“Some of the magic people have left the tribe…for the moment I am inconsolable…,” she wrote on Twitter to her followers.
Earlier, when it was announced that Reynolds went to the hospital after having a stroke, Fisher shared a throwback photo of the two and wished her the best.
“God speed mama,” she wrote.
She shared the same photo on Instagram later with heart emojis.
Fisher had just recently broken her silence on the loss of her sister.
“Breaking my silence with a broken heart,” Fisher wrote on Twitter along with a broken heart emoji. “The Unfathomable loss…the earth is off its axis today…how dare you take her away from us.”
Carrie Fisher died Tuesday at age 60. She had been hospitalized late Friday after suffering cardiac arrest on a flight from London to Los Angeles.
Fisher’s mother Debbie Reynolds’ passed away Wednesday after having a stroke. She reportedly told her son hours before her death: “I miss her so much, I want to be with Carrie.”
