Eddie Redmayne, star of the new film “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” confirmed on Wednesday that he’s part of a shrinking group of male celebrities who haven’t dated Taylor Swift.

Redmayne appeared on Bravo TV’s “Watch What Happens Live,” during which host Andy Cohen asked him about 2012 rumors in regard to his alleged romantic relationship with the singer.

“Can you put the rumors to rest: did you ever go out on a date with Taylor Swift?” the fan asked.

“I absolutely can put the rumors to rest,” the actor replied. “I never went out on a date with Taylor Swift.”

Redmayne proceeded to explain that he first met Swift during an audition for “Les Miserables,” and that the two shared a moment in song.

“She was amazing in the audition,” he said. “We got to sing together, which was a big moment for me. But no, we never went out.”

The Oscar winner is now married to Hannah Bagshawe, with whom he has a daughter named Iris, so it looks like Swift won’t be writing a post-breakup song about him anytime soon.
