Hours before they would bring their famous blend of Americana rock and metal to the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri, the Foo Fighters decided to pay a visit to some locals who showed up at the show.

The locals in question where members of the Westboro Baptist Church who showed up to the concert for some free publicity and to rip on the Foo Fighters for doing their thing.

In an effort to drown out the many protesters shouting hate, the Foos decided to drive by in the back of a pickup truck to  deliver them a message.

Real fans of the band clamored with glee as the group rolled down in front of where the protests were being held, blasting “Never Gonna Give You Up,” by British artist Rick Astley.

“You’ve been Rick Rolled (again),” a sign read that was held in front of the WBC.

Front man Dave Grohl, who is still recovering from breaking his leg on stage earlier this summer, laughed and smiled with glee as his many fans came over to cheer for the band, and sing along.
