After the announcement of Donald Trump’s presidential victory, Bethenny Frankel wanted to make one thing very clear — she’s not OK with protesting.

On Friday, the Real Housewife of New York took to Twitter to defend remarks she made earlier in the week about Trump demonstrators.

“Perhaps people should have protested BEFORE the election & maybe people are having regrets about not voting,” Frankel initially wrote.

She continued: “Whether LGBT, roe v wade, immigration, racism etc, people have the right to be scared & sad. Now it’s time to collect & make a plan vs revolt.”

In response to a fan who said she was “sorely disappointed” in Frankel’s decision to take the “future loss of LGBTQ/women’s rights rights lying down,” Frankel replied, “I don’t think we take it lying down. I’m a believer in the content but the delivery is crucial.”
She continued in a follow-up tweet: “If you don’t know what to do sit still. Clarity comes from reflection vs reaction.”
