From the mouths of babes.

You might remember an “Entertainment Tonight” interview that aired in early August. Jon Gosselin revealed he wasn’t talking to his 15-year-old twin daughters, Cara and Mady, and opened up about not seeing them very often.

Well now, Mady and Cara are speaking out.

In this latest interview with PEOPLE, Mady gave Jon a little advice as to how he can repair relations with her and her twin sister. She also refuted any and all statements that they’re being kept away from Jon.

“He makes it seem like we’re being kept from him, which is insane,” Mady told reporters. “He should maybe spend some time thinking about why we don’t want to see him and maybe realize that if he ever does want a relationship with us, talking about us on TV is not the way to make that happen.”

“He doesn’t even know us,” Mady adds. “How can he dare to talk about us?”

Mady’s slightly more reserved twin, Cara, seemed indifferent.

“I wouldn’t even know what to say about him,” she said to reporters.

Think he’ll take Mady’s advice?
