Usain Bolt, are you up for the challenge?
Prince Harry challenged the Olympian to a rematch over the weekend while wishing his buddy a happy birthday on Twitter. Bolt turned 30 on Sunday.
“Congratulations @usainbolt – now you’re officially the greatest, you might be ready for a re-run. Happy 30th – H,” the royal wrote, using Kensington Palace’s official Twitter account.
During their first race in 2012, Prince Harry took off running when Bolt wasn’t looking and won. Of course, the footrace was all in good fun, and Bolt didn’t take his loss badly.
The Palace also congratulated all the Olympians who represented Team Great Britain:
We have really enjoyed following your achievements across such a wide variety of sports during the last two weeks. London 2012 was a hard act to follow, but you have made the entire country proud of everything you have accomplished.
You should arrive home knowing that you have delighted millions of people across the Home Nations, many of whom have stayed up late, night after night, to share in your celebrations.
We all know that this success does not come easy and is the culmination of years of hard work, passionate commitment, sheer grit and determination. You are an inspiration to us all, young and old.
We can’t wait to see Prince Harry take on Usain Bolt again soon!
