The Royal Family’s Queen Elizabeth II reached a milestone birthday in 2016, the BIG 9-0.

How did she celebrate, one might ask? With a weekend chock-full of celebrations, of course!


Her majesty’s birthday is April 21, but the celebration becomes a monthlong (or more!) event for all of the United Kingdom.

However, the reason for this Round 2 is simple: the weather. It’s usually nicer in England in June, and royals have been doing the whole double celebration-thing for centuries because of it.
