It isn’t unusual for a bride and groom to ask a member of their family or a friend to sing at their wedding ceremony or at their reception. Sometimes it is out of a sense of obligation and the performance can be, oh, less that perfect, and sometimes they ask because their friend’s voice is truly amazing.
Now, imagine if one of your dearest friends just so happens to also be one of the hottest stars in country music! And what if that friend has one of the sweetest new singles on radio? Well, duh! Of course you’d want him to sing on your big day.
So, that’s exactly what Brad Paisley did when his pal and tourmate, Tyler Farr, got hitched on Oct. 10 to his longtime girlfriend, Hannah Freeman. Brad’s new song, “Today,” has already become a bit of a wedding anthem in the short time since it’s release, thanks in large part to lyrics like “I don’t know about tomorrow / Right now the whole world feels right / And the memory of a day like today / Can get you through the rest of your life.”
But when Brad, who also co-wrote the song with hit writers Chris DuBois and Ashley Gorley, performed the song for Tyler and Hannah’s first dance at the wedding reception, they truly got the gift of a lifetime.
Congratulations go out to the happy young couple on their nuptials, and also to Brad who has a new hit single on his hands!
