The blind auditions continued on season 12 of “The Voice” on March 6, with 11 amazing solo performances.

24-year-old Micah Tryba of Wheaton, Illinois set the bar high as the first contestant of the night. She performed a spectacular rendition of “I’m Every Woman” in front of coaches Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Adam Levine and Alicia Keys.

Micah had big shoes to fill since the song was first done by Chaka Khan and then re-recorded by the late Whitney Houston in the ’90s.
The brunette beauty kicked the song off with some stellar long notes. Her impressive, vocal delivery caught Blake’s attention right away, as he quickly turned his chair around. Shortly after, Gwen followed suit. Alicia Keys couldn’t help but dance in her seat. So, it came as a surprise that she didn’t turn around.
Regardless though, Micah was sure glad she got Blake and Gwen to vie for her. In fact, she broke down in emotional tears at the end of the song.
Following the performance Adam Levine said, “Your voice is so powerful.”
Alicia added, “I totally respect the work that you had to put into do that. I think that you have a beautiful, gorgeous voice, so congratulations.”
Blake who was going toe-to-toe with Gwen also said, “What you did it blew me away. Hopefully if you choose me, we’ll get you in the finale, because I truly think you could be standing in the winner’s circle.”

As for Gwen, she tried her best to sway Micah into choosing her instead of Blake. She said, “OK, Micah, obviously Blake Shelton is super hot, and I know it would be really fun to work with him. Just don’t be tempted by the dimples.”
Unfortunately for Gwen, Micah decided to go with Blake. Not because of his good looks, (although that’s a bonus!) but because he was her “gut” decision. Micah will move onto the battle rounds on Team Blake. Be sure to watch more blind auditions when “The Voice” continues March 7 on NBC.
