Turns out that country crooner Blake Shelton is also eagerly awaiting the arrival of the singing competition show. Not just because he has bragging rights as the coach with the most wins, but also because he will reunite on the set with his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani.

Despite Blake’s excitement for having his ladylove back on the program, he admits that he had a few concerns at first.

“We were both nervous about it. [We wondered], ‘How is this going to work?” Blake tells CMT and iHeartRadio host Cody Alan, “but it brings a new level of competition to the show. Just when you think 12 seasons in it kind of is what it is, it’s not anymore. With her and I in this relationship, it’s so exciting! It truly is!”

Yep! We couldn’t agree more!

Gwen, who will be taking her spot next to Blake and season 11 coaches Adam Levine and Alicia Keys, is certainly no stranger to “The Voice,” as she has previously coached seasons seven and nine. Fans may recall that sparks ignited between Blake and Gwen during season nine, following splits from their respective exes. Blake divorced Miranda Lambert in July of 2015 after four years of marriage. Shortly after that, Gwen parted ways with Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, whom she was married to for 13 years.

Season 12 of NBC’s “The Voice” returns on Feb. 27.
