Blake Shelton has officially assembled his team for season 12 of “The Voice,” but he didn’t do it without adding the amazing vocal talents of Andrea Thomas.

Andrea, who hails from Fort Worth, Texas, took a chance at stardom on March 13 during the blind auditions round of the competition.

Though the blind auditions are incredibly nerve-racking for competitors, Andrea remained cool as a cucumber. And perhaps, her natural comfort onstage stems from her previous gig, which was singing backup for Carrie Underwood!

NBC didn’t air Andrea’s full audition, but she proved to be a standout solo singer with her heavenly performance of “Baby, Now That I’ve Found You” – a ballad first recorded in 1967 by the Foundations but later covered by Alison Krauss. Heck, even Blake couldn’t help but sing along after turning his chair around for the blonde beauty.

“Wow, what a beautiful and angelic voice you have,” he commented following Andrea’s performance. “The coaches are going to learn the hard way that [Andrea] is somebody they need to watch out for.”

Andrea will now move on to the battle round phase of the competition on Team Blake. We can’t wait to hear more from her!

“The Voice” airs Monday and Tuesday nights on NBC.
