If you’re an Elvis Presley fan, then you might be slightly obsessed with Graceland. The 13.8-acre estate, which is located in Memphis, Tennessee, was where the late King of Rock ‘n’ Roll lived for at least 20 years.
So, it comes as no surprise that some folks might wonder what it would be like to stay inside the mansion for a day.
Lucky for fans, the thought of spending the night there is not very far off from reality. In fact, Elvis’ former wife, Pricilla Presley, helped design a brand-new guesthouse inspired by the King. And, it’s right near Graceland.
In October, Pricilla appeared on “Today” and gave reporter Jenna Bush Hager a special tour of the grand hotel, which boasts 450 rooms.
As you can see in the video above, the two women make their way down a replica of the mansion’s grand staircase. A crystal-colored chandelier, similar to the one in Graceland’s foyer, also accents the ceiling of The Guest House at Graceland. As for the rooms, 20 suites on the top floor scream Elvis’ personal flavor and style. In the massive King Suite, a television is attached to the canopy ceiling above the bed.
“He loved detail and he was so stylish himself,” says Pricilla about Elvis. “He had just such a flair. And actually that’s really what this is all about — it’s flair, it’s taste, it’s beautiful, it’s comfortable. I mean, everywhere you look Elvis is here.”
Aside from the intoxicating style and all of the intricate details to the resort, amenities like a humongous theater, a swimming pool, a wrap around couch, and several restaurants can also be enjoyed inside the hotel.
Yep! No heartbreak here, y’all!
The hotel project took 30 years to build and opened to the public for the first time on Thursday, Oct. 27.
