Country artists do countless good deeds before the spotlight falls on them during their concerts. Away from the cameras and the bright lights, country artists spend time with fans that might otherwise be forgotten.

Before a recent show in New Jersey, the duo met with retired Army Staff Sergeant Shane Savage to present him with a track chair. The veteran, who lost his leg after driving over an IED in Afghanistan in 2010, will now use his track chair to stay active alongside his family, who appeared with him during a recent interview on Fox News.
“It was an emotional experience to have that type of opportunity to participate in something of that nature and to be able to represent my fellow amputees and veterans,” Shane said in the interview.

And while his daughters chimed in about how the track chair will change the family dynamic in such a good way, they also seemed flushed over the sheer opportunity to meet the men of FGL.
“I was in shock and in disbelief because I love them and I love their music,” said Ameliea Savage.
“I was pretty stoked that I got to go to my first concert,” added Jada Savage. “It was an amazing experience.”
