Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood spent time in New York City on Nov. 30 to take part in the 2016 “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” tree lighting ceremony.
Before illuminating the majestic 94-foot Spruce, the marriedcouple helped mark the holidays with their version of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.” And heck, just watching these two lovebirds gaze into each other’s eyes is proof that they’re total relationship goals!
Garth and Trisha showed their affection for one another throughout the entire song. They locked hands and eyes amid a festive background that included a snowflake floor, humongous gift-wrapped presents and multiple glistening trees.
Trisha donned a maroon-colored sweater for the tune, while Garth wore a blue suit and his signature cowboy hat. Fans watched as the two innocently flirted on the holiday classic. Toward the end of the song, Garth took Trisha’s hand and led her in a dance, where they swapped places. Then, he stole a sweet kiss from his bride that made us melt!
The country couple’s performance follows their first-ever holiday duets album titled “Christmas Together,” which dropped on Nov. 11. The 11-track record includes songs “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” as well as “Santa Baby” and “Marshmallow World” just to name a few.
This was the 84th year of the annual tree lighting at Rockefeller Center. The popular telecast was co-hosted by “Today” show anchors Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker and Hoda Kotb. Aside from Garth and Trisha, an entire lineup of stars performed, including fellow country music icon Dolly Parton.
