Yet, that’s exactly what happened shortly after country star Chris Janson began the opening verse of his hit single ‘Buy Me a Boat.” As the crowd was getting into the song, they were shocked to see Kid Rock walk out to not only perform with Chris, but also a countrified version of his own hit song “Cowboy.” Quickly, social media was flooded with reactions to the surprise performance.

The performance served as yet another highlight to Chris’ 2017. Come April, Chris will travel to Las Vegas as he picked up a nomination for ACM New Male Artist of the Year.
“I couldn’t be more thrilled,” Chris said in a recent press release. “I love my life, love my job and love being recognized. I am so grateful. Unexpected blessings are the best.”
