Love, fights and lots of country music make up this week’s Rare Country’s 5

Rare Country

Wow! When it comes to emotional weeks in country music, this one is certainly up there. There was loving, fighting, kissing and some heartbreaking hate. There were also some country music winners. Erin Holt has a recap of this week in country music in Rare Country’s 5 video, and we count down those stories right here.

Our No. 5 story gives us all the feels. Miranda Lambert and her main man, Anderson East, pretty much keep their relationship on the down low, so when they do appear at each other’s concerts, it’s a big deal. In Louisiana, Anderson didn’t just appear, he came out onstage and sang the Rod Stewart classic “Stay With Me” with his girlfriend. They then shared a smooch right there in front of everyone. Does Erin have pictures? Watch and see!

The lock-in for our No. 4 story found the internet lit up this week when Sam Hunt appeared in pictures with a ring on that oh-so-important ring finger. Now, Sam has already said that he and fiancée Hannah Lee Fowler would be exchanging “I dos” soon, but could they have already done it? Maybe or maybe not. What say you, Erin?

Boys will be boys, even when they’re grown men. And our No. 3 story found a couple of grown men acting like little boys during last weekend’s NASCAR race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Drivers Joey Logano and Kyle Busch came to blows following the race and since then, there has been a lot of pointing fingers. Erin has more details in Rare Country’s 5 video, but come on fellas. It’s supposed to be fun.

This week’s No. 2 story breaks our hearts a little. Kane Brown is one of the kindest young artists in country music, so when he received a hateful comment on his social media, it was jarring to him and to readers alike. Fortunately, he rises with such grace that it only further cemented his future in country music. You can hear more from Erin in Rare Country’s 5.

The No. 1 story includes a big congratulations to the ACMs New Artist winners. The organization announced their New Female, Male and Duo/Group winners early in the week, and we were delighted to hear that Maren Morris, Jon Pardi and Brothers Osborne would be receiving trophies. The ACMs will broadcast live from Las Vegas on April 2, so be sure to tune in to see the rest of the winners!

We’re happy to end another exciting week in country music on a high note. Be sure to check back in throughout the week for Rare Country’s 5 special editions and every Saturday for our weekly news recap. Thanks to Erin for delivering all the news. Be sure to support your favorite country star and remember to share good music.
