It’s hard to imagine the thrill and exhilaration of crossing the finish line and taking the checkered flag at a NASCAR race. From the race itself to the victory lap, to the infield burnout and the champagne toast, adrenaline has to be at an all-time high for drivers, owners, crew and team. And the rush must last for days, right? Or at least until you get home. Or maybe until you leave the track?

First, congratulations go out to Kyle Larson, who raced for the win on Sunday at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. As thrilling as the finish was, we have to feel a little sorry for the young driver who just claimed his second Cup victory.

According to Motorsport, the 24-year-old California native was involved in a fender bender as he left the track. Fortunately, the accident was minor and no one was injured. In fact, Kyle wasn’t even behind the wheel of the rental car. We can’t help but think that if Kyle had been behind the wheel, the accident wouldn’t have occurred.

We’re kidding, of course. And like any good-sponsored driver would do, Kyle took to Twitter to share the news of his accident and thank his Team Chevy Suburban for keeping them safe.
