With every picture she shares as she continues to heal from a brown recluse spider bite, we find ourselves cringing just a little bit more.

On March 5, “The Voice” favorite shared another series of pictures of the facial injury that still has a way to go to heal. Fans might recall that Meghan suffered a spider bite on her face while she was sleeping.

“Sorry if this grosses anyone out, but a lot of people have asked to see updated pictures of my healing, so this is where we’re at,” she wrote in a Facebook post. “I definitely think the hyperbaric chamber treatments sped up the healing process dramatically. It’s been 3 weeks since my bite. Just waiting for the last little bit of black (dead tissue) to slough off so that new skin can grow and the wound can heal. Thank you again for the prayers, words of encouragement, and love! Love you guys! Xo Meg”

God hopes Meghan can soon put this awful experience behind her, as the country star is eager to move forward with new music.

“This song is very special to me,” she wrote on March 6 on her Facebook page, along with a video of her performing new music. “I wrote it with Tyler Cain and Phillip LaRue, and it was inspired by a very close friend of mine who was going through a heartbreaking divorce. I know I’ve felt every word of this song and I hope it resonates with you, too. We shot this live at Matador Studios in Nashville. My friend Aaron D. Thomas did an amazing job capturing it on video.”
