OK Jana Kramer fans, this has to stop. An hour and 15 minutes into the Oct. 17 episode of “Dancing With the Stars,” Jana and her professional partner, Gleb Savchenko, found out that they were, once again, in jeopardy after their beautiful contemporary dance from the week prior.
It’s hard to say if that’s what got the country music beauty so fired up or if she found her niche in the evening’s Latin dance theme, but whatever it was, Jana was bringing so much heat after her Argentine tango that the ballroom was virtually steamy.
However, in the pre-performance video diary that shows the couple’s rehearsals, Jana revealed a side of herself that many wouldn’t expect. A tiny bit awkward and uncomfortable, but also incredibly endearing, the singer recalled her very first dance, a Viennese waltz, that the judges thought was a little too sexy.
“Our first dance was super sexy and I feel like we got away from it because it was too much,” she said. “Now, are we going back to it?” As Gleb coached her through the uber sexy tango, Jana shyly admitted, “It’s a little out of my comfort zone because I’ve never been this sexy. It’s a lot.”
“A lot” may have been a bit of an understatement! Dancing to “Hands to Myself” by Selena Gomez, Jana and Gleb’s tango started with the country star writhing on a bed of black silky sheets attempting to lure her dance partner in. The two then worked their way across the ballroom floor in a series of turns, lifts and kicks until they reached a platform on the opposite end of the stage where they completed their tango drenched by a pouring shower.
The steam from the shower may not have been visible, but it was definitely palpable as even the judge’s commented during the couple’s review. And Jana getting out of her comfort zone paid off. She and Gleb earned the season’s first score of 40, receiving 10’s from all four judges and placing them at the top of the show’s leaderboard for the night.
Congratulations, Jana and Gleb!
