As you may know by now, Josh recently shipped off to basic training to start his military career. The young couple first started talking about Josh’s dream to join the military shortly after they got married about a year ago.

RaeLynn tells Rare Country, “I knew it was on his heart to do. One thing I love about Josh is, if I wasn’t honestly comfortable with it, he wasn’t going to do it. He wanted me to be confident in it, because it’s going to be a sacrifice for both of us, but he told me, ‘This is my dream to do.'”
Josh has been a constant supporter of RaeLynn as she chases her dreams of country stardom, and now it’s her turn to be there for him.

“Me and my selfish side wants to be, like, ‘No, you can’t go. You’re going to be away from me too much,'” RaeLynn explains, “but at the end of the day, he supports me in leaving to go follow my dream and I have to support him, and especially with something so honorable like joining the military. I’m just so proud of him.”
Josh has been training for about a year for military life.
RaeLynn adds, “He’s mentally and physically prepared to do basic training. He’s really inspired me a lot this year, because he knows what he wants, and he’s going to go get it. He’s going to do so great. He’s just honestly my hero. It’s just so cool to see him live out his dream.”
