On a day that celebrates love, romance, relationships and togetherness, country cutie RaeLynn is spending Valentine’s Day without her handsome husband, Joshua Davis. But there’s a really good and very respectable reason.

In an Instagram post, RaeLynn shared the news that Josh had enlisted in the military and left for basic training on Feb. 13. The tiny Texan wrote, “My husband has always supported me in everything I’ve wanted to do, yesterday began a new adventure for us. Joshua left for basic training to serve in our military and serve his country. Saying I’m proud doesn’t scratch the surface of how I feel. I love his heart and the man that he is more and more every single day. I married up in every way.”

RaeLynn also asked all of her friends and fans to keep Josh in their prayers. She did not disclose what branch of the military that Josh has joined.

This precious young couple was married just under a year ago in Nashville when RaeLynn was just 21 years old. Guests at the wedding included her “The Voice” coach, Blake Shelton, and his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani.

Joshua is a former minor league baseball pitcher. He attended and played ball for Nashville’s Belmont University and has known RaeLynn since she was just 18.

We’re sending lots of positive thoughts and encouragement to Joshua and to RaeLynn as well. It isn’t easy being alone after just a year of marriage, but she has plenty of family, friends and fans to keep her company until he is granted leave.
