Country rebel Sturgill Simpson has long been known to say exactly how he feels to anyone who will listen. Yet, on the night of the 59th Annual Grammy Awards, he truly let his facial expression do the talking.

When Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun of Twenty One Pilots got up from their seats to accept their pop duo/group performance Grammy for “Stressed Out,” they were quick to… drop their pants.

The reason was sweet – the two went on to explain that they had made a promise to themselves that if they ever won a Grammy, they would accept the award in their underwear. Nevertheless, watching the reaction of Sturgill, along with fellow country favorite Dwight Yoakam, was priceless.

The crazy moment was just a piece of Sturgill’s sweet night, which had him taking home the award for Best Country Album for “A Sailor’s Guide to Earth,” beating fellow country standouts Loretta Lynn, Brandy Clark, Maren Morris and Keith Urban. However, he did lose in the Album of the Year category, with the amazing Adele taking home the top prize.

Country fans will recall that Sturgill was also at last year’s Grammys, as his second album, “Metamodern Sounds in Country Music,” was nominated for Best Americana Album.
