Former “Howard Stern Show” member and comedian Artie Lange was recently arrested in a New Jersey parking garage with coke and heroin on him. The comedian later tweeted out that he was arrested but “doing great.” Following that tweet he wrote, “I wish I could tell you how my story ends…but I’m such a flawed person guys.”

On Thursday morning, Lange called into the “Led Berman and Tod Schnitt Show” in New York and spoke frankly about his drug addictions. One of the hosts asked the comedian, “How you doing, are you in rehab? You’re a funny guy, I don’t want to see you found dead in some apartment like Farley.”

When they asked him how this happened, Lange answered, “There’s a reason people get addicted to it, I don’t want kids to hear this, but it feels amazing […] but it becomes a living hell after a while.” The hosts pointed out that both Chris Farley and John Belushi were killed by a mixture of cocaine and heroin, to which Lange joked, “They were wusses.”

He did move onto a more serious note, saying, “Something’s got to be done about the opiates. It’s got to start with doctors […] I’m 49, and it’s still ruining my life.” He also mentioned that he might serve some time for the drug charges but noted that he’s been in jail twice before.
