The pair reminisced about their time as writers (and occasional performers) on ABC’s short-lived “The Dana Carvey show.” C.K. wasted no time letting his old colleague know what he thought of him back in the day. “I remember you weren’t of this world to me. I just had never seen anyone who looks like you, or talks like you,” he said. He then acknowledged Colbert as the King of Late Night, before elaborating on his previous assessment. “You’re number one, you’re the top of the charts, but at the time you were just this very weird looking dude,” he added.

Colbert then showed a bizarre, but hilarious sketch from “The Dana Carvey Show” in which he and Louis both appeared.

Louis C.K.’s new special recently premiered on Netflix. He’ll be hosting “Saturday Night Live” for the fourth time on April 8.
