During a recent episode of “The Green Room with Paul Provenza,” comedian Jimmy Carr was asked what the most offensive joke he ever told was.

The comics in the room, such as Eddie Izzard, Judah Friedlander, Tim Minchin and Chris Hardwick, are no strangers to offensive comedy but still seemed surprised at Carr’s joke.

Carr appears to be mild mannered, so when he dropped his off-color joke, everyone was taken aback.

“If only Africa had more mosquito nets, then every year we could save millions of mosquitoes from dying needlessly of AIDS,” Carr said.

“Wow,” Chris Hardwick said, shocked.

“It’s a beautiful joke,” Minchin added.

“It’s not really about anything,” Carr chimed in, in case anyone was offended.
