“Jeopardy!” has been around for over half a century, and the show almost certainly won’t be dying off any time soon. In the history of the show, there have been several blunders and moments that left fans on the edges of their seats (and often yelling at the television). This classic episode features a blunder that will make you want to stick your head in the sand.

Though we don’t know the question, it appears to be something along the lines of “What states have the lowest population?” Kathy chose the right states, but she forgot to phrase her answer as a question. The cameras then cut to Alex Trebek, who apologized profusely to the contestant and said simply, “Sometimes it works that way” before going to give her a hug.
