House Speaker Paul Ryan had a pretty tough day Friday when his health care bill was pulled from the floor before it was voted on. In an emotional press conference, Ryan admitted that “doing big things is hard.” But, in a sort of “only in Washington” moment, Paul Ryan’s obsession with 2000s rock band Papa Roach was revealed and is far more fascinating than health care.

Writer Justin Halpern edited a section of a New York Times article about Ryan, joking that “he exited the White House in defeat and took no questions as he stepped into his black SUV. Within moments, the muffled sound of Papa Roach’s ‘Last Resort’ were heard blaring from inside the car as it drove away.”

That tweet quickly went viral, and before long, Papa Roach was trending on Twitter. While a lotĀ of people felt it was necessary to point out that the excerpt was a joke, others were just happy to watch the world burn. Even Papa Roach was in on the laugh, tweeting that “when we feel defeated, we listen to Paul Ryan.”

In reality, Ryan is a fan of “Rage Against the Machine,” and when Rage guitarist Tom Morello told Rolling Stone that Paul Ryan is the embodiment of the machine our music rages against, a minor beef ensued, with the politician telling The New York Times that “they were never my favorite band” and claiming that Led Zeppelin is at the top of his list.
