The all-American dessert is so versatile — it can be transformed into turnovers, pops, and even these delightful apple crisp cookie cups from Liv for Cake.


An oatmeal cookie base adds another element of flavor to the delicious combination of apples and cinnamon. We bet these will become an autumn staple in your house!

You will need:

Apple pie filling

  • 4-5 Granny Smith apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 cups water

Oatmeal cookie cups

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 cups rolled oats

Sugar glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon water
