Some purists may argue that chili should always be made without beans.

Since I’ve already whipped up a vegetarian chili, it’s time to go back to the dish’s roots and make one that’s all beef and no beans. This Texas Roadhouse-style chili is so good, it only lasted a few minutes in my house.

You’ll need:

  • 3 pounds chuck steak
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 28 ounces beef broth
