If you’re like most people, you just grab a vegetable peeler and run it down the carrot from base to tip, then pull the peeler away while you rotate the carrot a bit and repeat.
It may seem like the only way to peel a carrot, but professional chefs have found a much faster way that uses BOTH sides of the peeler! (Who knew those peelers even had two sides to the blade?!)
In one movement, take the peeler down the carrot, then rotate the carrot and pull the peeler back up … never pulling the blade away. It may not seem like much, but we promise it’ll take half the time and save you some precious moments in the kitchen (especially if you have a lot of carrots to peel).
