Our parents don’t quite understand why we almost always prefer texting over a phone call.

Our parents and grandparents grew up during a time where really the only way to get in touch with someone was by phone call. Now, we’re spoiled for choice. We can text, email, Facebook message, tweet, Skype, g-chat and the list goes on.

For us, a phone call is planned in advance or signals something urgent.

Sometimes, we do miss the sentiment behind getting a spontaneous phone call from a friend. But generally, we’d much rather you text us first!
