A check of TheLimited.com shows a banner at the top that says, “All sales final. Please allow 10 business days for processing.” We discovered that all items appear to be at least 50% off and sometimes more.
Also on its website, The Limited has posted a list of dozens of locations participating in an “inventory blowout.”
A page for The Limited credit card lists the following information:
- The Limited is no longer accepting the Limited Credit Card for purchases.
- The Limited has discontinued its rewards program. As such, no new rewards are being issued by The Limited as of December 1, 2016.
- The Limited is no longer accepting Reward or Birthday Reward certificates in store or online.
- Payments on your account can no longer be made at Limited Stores. Payments may still be made online via Account Center, by mail or over the phone (a fee may be associated with the Pay-By-Phone service).
Forbes reports that it has received mixed messages about the future of the women’s apparel chain, and the owner declined to say whether the retailer plans to file for bankruptcy or liquidate.
In fact, a December 13 Facebook posting from the struggling store includes an apology about shipping delays that affected holiday orders.
