Let’s get crafty!

My kids are getting to that age where members of the opposite sex have cooties. So what better way to keep them safe than by making a cootie catcher?

This is a great craft because it’s quick, it’s easy, and it can be customized — your kids can turn their cootie catchers into anything! (In the video, I made mine to look like Thomas, our dog.)

You’ll need:

  • Construction paper in lots of pretty colors
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Googly eyes

As you all know, I’m not the best at arts and crafts. But this one is simple enough for anyone to enjoy — it’s a great way to spend quality time with the kids while protecting them from those dreaded cooties.
