The Vet Hunters Project aims to help homeless veterans get the care and support they need to get them off the streets and into someplace safe. The group is made up of Air Force, Army, Marine Corps and Navy veterans. They call themselves a grass-roots movement. Vet Hunters was started by a soldier who vowed to honor fallen service members by leaving no veteran behind.
The group conducts search and rescue missions, looking for homeless veterans to help. They believe the words “homeless” and “veteran” should never go together. Vet Hunters is not government-funded, which lets them quickly meet the needs of veterans. Their online bio lists “no red tape is how we operate,” and in this new video, shot by Airman Magazine, we get to see them in action.
