Joe Biden let a few things slip into a hot mic yesterday, and while it was widely believed that the vice president would be based out of the University of Pennsylvania, yesterday was the first time that we heard him say it. Biden was on Capitol Hill swearing in Paul Ryan and meeting with the new congressmen.

“I’m going to be based out of Penn for foreign policy, but I’m deliberately not associating with any one medical center,” he said. The vice president is an alumnus of The University of Delaware.

Biden also said that he will be creating a trust for research that will seek to fund his cancer moonshot. The vice president lost his son Beau to brain cancer in 2015. When Congress and the Senate passed the 21st Century Cures Act, which allocates money for the research of terminal illnesses, they named part of the bill after Beau Biden.
