Could Huma Abedin and Anthony Weiner be getting back together?

Huma Abedin and estranged husband Anthony Weiner are reportedly attempting to reconcile their marriage, according to the New York Post.

They cite a family friend of the Abedins who says the couple is “still in love,” even after Weiner’s long and documented history of extramarital activity, some of it embarrassingly, excrutiatingly public. Weiner’s first scandal which saw the then-Representative post a photo of his penis on Twitter caused his resignation from the United States House of Representatives. More indignities were revealed during his 2013 NYC mayoral run, including his alias, “Carlos Danger.”

Most recently, Weiner was in the news when his laptop was seized as part of the FBI’s investigation into his contact with a 15-year-old girl. That laptop contained additional emails concerning Hillary Clinton, which re-energized one of the election cycle’s most consistent specters for the Clinton campaign.

The Abedin family friend told the New York Post that Abedin “has been working hard on her relationship with Anthony,” and that he is even “spending 80 to 90 percent of his time” at the apartment they once shared.

The source says both families hope Abedin and Weiner reconcile.
