President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama were a barrel of laughs during their last official White House Christmas message. The outgoing first couple looked back on their first message in 2009, and they could barely keep their laughs in.

President Obama said that Christmas was about spending time from the special people in one’s life, and that this meant he needed a little help from Michelle.

“To me that means getting some help from my best friend,” President Obama said.

The two then looked back on fond memories in the White House during the holidays, including the president’s penchant for “dad jokes” and the fact that the White Houst pastry chef had made nearly a quarter of a million Christmas cookies.

“That’s a lot of cookies,” the president dead panned to the camera.

The rest of the address found the Obamas in rare form as they thanked the American people and wished them a Merry Christmas.
