According to multiple media reporters, including tweets from Jake Sherman at Politico, if the House of Representatives fails to vote favorably for President Donald Trump’s healthcare bill, he may be done negotiating.

Sherman reported that Mick Mulvaney, the Director of the Office of Management and Budget, indicated that Trump had delivered an ultimatum to Congress.

“TRUMP is done negotiating and wants a vote on the AHCA tomorrow, per a source in the room,” Sherman reported on Thursday night. “If the AHCA vote fails, nation is stuck w Obamacare. In other words, trump is done. Negotiations are over.”

Rep. Chris Collins (R-N.Y.) confirmed Mulvaney’s statements to the New York Post. Collins believes that if Trump fails to get the necessary votes to pass his bill, he will never get them.

“The president said tomorrow there will be a vote,” Collins said Thursday. “It’s a vote to maintain Obamacare or it’s a vote to get rid of Obamacare.”

Trump’s replacement for Obamacare has been heavily criticized since it was unveiled in early March. Among the many things Republicans and Democrats take issue with, an estimated 24 million fewer people would have insurance under Trump’s new bill.

The House of Representatives will reportedly vote on the new bill at 2 p.m. on Friday. If it were to pass through the House, it would still need to be approved in the Senate.
