If you think you have heard of George Ciccariello you probably have. The Drexel University professor has a habit of saying the types of things that make many Americans furious, especially conservatives with an internet presence.

Earlier this week, Ciccariello sent out a tweet about an encounter involving a veteran he witnessed on an airplane, and it drove some people crazy.
“Some guy gave up his first class seat for a uniformed soldier. People are thanking him. I’m trying not to vomit or yell about Mosul,” Ciccariello wrote on Twitter.

Needless to say, people weren’t pleased.
“Did your tampon shift outta place when [you] squirmed in your seat over the patriotism happening around you?” Twitter user Rick Canton wrote.
Canton’s comment was one of many that Ciccariello reposted on his social media accounts. It was quickly apparent that Ciccariello was not going to back down from his statement.
“Wow, between this and all the people calling me a c**t and pu**y, it’s almost like the right just really hates women,” Ciccariello wrote.
“Sorry to disappoint, but I care even less about being a man than I do about being straight, white, or an American.”

In late January, Ciccariello popped up in the corers of conservative-media with a tweet about “white genocide,” a term that Ciccariello claims many white supremacists use.
“All I want for Christmas is white genocide.” The next day, Ciccariello explained to the Philadelphia Enquirer that he was making a joke about white supremacists who believe a white genocide is underway.
“On Christmas Eve, I sent a satirical tweet about an imaginary concept, ‘white genocide.’ For those who haven’t bothered to do their research, ‘white genocide’ is an idea invented by white supremacists and used to denounce everything from interracial relationships to multicultural policies.”
