You’ve heard of road rage, but how about fast-food rage?

William Silva, 49, became so irate with the long wait in the drive-thru line at a Clearwater, Fla., McDonald’s late on New Year’s Day that he entered the restaurant and kicked an employee in the stomach, according to Florida police.

Police say that once Silva started screaming and cursing at employees. After he was asked to calm down, Silva allegedly attacked worker Manuel Cano, who was off-duty at the time.

According to the police report, Silva “delivered a front kick” to the employee, who allegedly countered with multiple blows to Silva’s head.

Silva denied starting the altercation or creating a disturbance inside the restaurant, his account of the incident was contradicted by Cano and a McDonald’s manager.

Silva was arrested for disorderly conduct and battery. Both are misdemeanors. He was released from the county jail after posting $650 bond.

He has prior convictions including cocaine possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
