Actor Rob Schneider made some fans in conservative communities very happy on Wednesday with a tweet about politics. Schneider, who is best known for his work on “Saturday Night Live” and in a number of Adam Sandler films, has grown increasingly political on social media in recent months. Wednesday’s tweet was no difference.

“2010 Dems lost the House. 2012 Dems lost the Senate. 2016 Dems lost the White House. 2017 Dems lost ability to reason. It’s not Russia, it’s YOU,” Schneider said in a message to the Democratic Party.

Schneider’s tweet sparked a multitude of threads in conservative message boards, including the Reddit page /r/TheDonald.

Despite support he received from fans of President Donald Trump, some were still able to get in a dig or two about Schneider’s career.

“Not worrying about Hollywood blacklisting is probably one of best parts of not being an A-list celebrity. You can have your own political views instead of sticking to the talking points,” one Redditor explained.

Wednesday’s tweet is far from the first time that Schneider’s political views have gone viral.

In November, a series of jokes about Democrats made it to the front pages of many message boards and conservative websites. Several months later, Schneider went viral in a bigger way and ultimately had to apologize for it.

When President Trump got into a public spat with Rep. John Lewis (R-GA), Schneider chimed in and gave a history lesson to Rep. Lewis.

Long before President Trump had announced his candidacy for office, Schneider made headlines for a stance that Trump supporters could get behind. In a 2014 radio interview, Schneider put his politics on display in a criticism of then President Barack Obama.

“Democracies don’t end well. We are sliding very fast toward fascism. It’s an ugly kind of thing. There’s this kind of mob mentality that we have to be careful of,” Schneider told Talk Radio 1210 WPHT in Philadelphia.

“There’s a polarization that’s happening … I do think you look… can look at government and go, ‘Wow, it is out of control now,’ and if you do criticize or tend to be not directly along a liberal stand, you can get murdered…”
