Richard Christianson of Phoenix posted a photo to his Facebook page just after 9 p.m. on New Year’s Day. It has been shared 84,300 times as of late Wednesday morning.

What’s all the fuss? Christianson captioned the photo: “What the hell do you see in this picture for reals ??? Anybody”

So… what do you see?

OK, so this thing does have the look of a large, dark figure with expansive wings and maybe even horns coming out of its head — if that’s even a head. The “demon” or “angel,” as some are calling it on Facebook, appears to stand taller than the house in the background.

“Sightings” photographs, like of Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster or Jesus, tend not to be real. But it doesn’t mean this one isn’t. Still, it could just be a palm tree, right?

Of course, it would have been nice if the person who captured this image had stuck around a little longer to capture the demon-angel figure flapping its wings and taking off, or stomping over a car in the street and crushing it flat, or simply vanishing into thin air.

We might never know if this large, shadowy image is real or not. But if you’re in the greater Phoenix area, keep your eyes peeled.
