“We found our Sarah Bearah!!!” her family updated friends and other relatives on the “Help Us Find Sarah Dunsey” Facebook page. “Thank you all for sharing, getting Sarah’s face out there, and helping us to find her. Thank you to the people that sent us the tips that found her. We ask to please give our family a little space and privacy. We are going to retreat into our safe place and heal.”

“We are tied to each other in more ways than we think,” the post continued. “I felt everyones [sic] prayers and energy sent to our family and Sarah. We all want the same thing for our children. To be safe and feel loved. We are tied by a universal need and desire for our children to not be hurt. Thank you for helping my baby girl come home. Thank you to our amazing team. You know who you are.”

While her family believed Sarah had become a victim of sex trafficking, authorities were less certain about her disappearance. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, however, there was no evidence of kidnapping or sex trafficking, and police treated the case as though the teenager was a runaway.

Friends and family had been using the Facebook page to share updates on and memories of Sarah.
