In America, we have a serious problem repairing our infrastructure; the only people who ever seem to get anything accomplished during highway repair are the guy who puts out the cones and the guy who holds the stop sign.
However, it’s not like that everywhere. Some places, like Fukuoka in Japan, are incredibly good at fixing things.
According to The Guardian, filling the sinkhole took only two days, despite the fact that it was about 30 meters deep. Apparently, the road’s re-opening was mostly held up while officials checked to ensure its safety.
