Who would give up seven inches and more than 100 pounds and get in the Octagon with Russian monstrosity Alan Karaev?
A guy like Japanese fighter Tomohiko Hashimoto, who on this day apparently possessed little in the way of rational thought.
Thankfully for him, the ref understood this and gave Hashimoto a chance to remain among the living by ending the fight in a timely manner. Twenty-seven seconds after it started, to be exact.
Karaev, who fought sparingly in his one year career, retired from the sport with two wins and three losses. We can only imagine the size of the three guys that managed to take him out.
