News details surrounding California woman Sherri Papini, who went on a jog and mysteriously disappeared over three weeks ago and was later found bound and beaten on Thanksgiving day, have surfaced.

Shasta County Sherrif Tom Bosenko revealed new information to “Good Morning America” on Wednesday, just one day after Keith Papini, Sherri’s husband, spoke out for the first time and released a statement to “Good Morning America” about the 34-year-old mother of two, her disturbing appearance and the journey they’ve both been through.

Bosenko told “GMA” about a message branded on Papini’s body.

“I would think that was some sort of either an exertion of power and control and/or maybe some type of message that the brand contained,” Bosenko told “Good Morning America.” “It is not a symbol, but it was a message.”

He also weighed in on the fact that the assailants cut Papini’s hair.

“Obviously, a very sick person who may have wanted to not only to cut it off to change her physical appearance but also as to humiliate [her], wear her down.”

Authorities are still on the search for two suspects, believed to be two armed Hispanic women.

According to ABC News, Papini was interviewed for a third time yesterday to hopefully help authorities find the suspects.
