Just because Kim Kardashian made a career and a fortune off a sex tape doesn’t mean everyone should do it. For 19-year-old Jose Hart, the sex tape he made with his one-time girlfriend cost him his life.

Hart made the unwise decision to show a friend the private videotaped moment of Kayla Moreno, a 20-year-old woman from the Bronx, performing a sex act him. Moreno became so enraged when she found out Hart had shared the video that she organized a robbery of Hart’s home in retaliation.

But the robbery was botched, and Hart was left for dead in his bedroom with a gunshot wound in his chest and a human bite mark on his right forearm, according to the New York Daily News. His mother made the gruesome discovery.

According to prosecutors, Moreno plotted the crime with three others. Surveillance footage shows a woman entering Moreno’s home at about 1:25 a.m. Sunday and then leaving nearly two hours later. She left the door unlocked and was seen talking to three men, who she then let inside the apartment.

“I was supposed to drink and smoke with Jose and let them in the door,” Moreno told police, according to the Daily News. “It was just supposed to be a robbery.”

But 23 minutes later, three men came out of the home, one wearing Hart’s coat and carrying a TV. Another was seen on security footage pocketing a silver semi-automatic handgun, sources told the Daily News. Two 9mm shell casings were recovered at the scene, and one round was found in Hart’s bedroom.

According to the report, two of the suspects have been identified.

At her arraignment, Moreno was ordered held without bail on second-degree murder and robbery charges.

Hart, according to the report, had just taken his GED exam and was awaiting the results. Now he’s dead, and his ex could face a long prison term — all because of a sex tape.
