Two workers were assaulted after patrons at a new barbecue restaurant in Durham, North Carolina were held up at gunpoint this week.

“We take this very seriously. We want to make sure our guests and our staff are taken care of,” the owner of The Pit told a local NBC affiliate.

The assault and robbery was committed by three hooded gunmen just after 9 p.m.

While the owner does want his customers and patrons taken care of, visible in the front window of the restaurant is a custom-made sign that reads “No guns allowed.”

The sign shows the images of three buildings: the North Carolina State Capitol, legislative building and the logo for The Pit.

Below the images is an additional specification that no concealed firearms may be brought onto the premises.

Don’t bring a gun to The Pit — unless, of course, you plan on robbing the restaurant.
