On Saturday, President Trump gave a speech at CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia. During the speech, which consisted of numerous references to “winning,” he called the media among the “most dishonest human beings on earth” and professed his love for the same intelligence community he once bashed.

“I believe that this group is going to be one of the most important groups in this country toward making us safe, toward making us winners again, toward ending all of the problems,” he said to the seemingly receptive crowd. “I am with you 1000 percent.”

He said the reason that the CIA was his No. 1 stop after the inauguration was because he has a “running war with the media,” and they made it sound like he had a “feud with the intelligence community.”

However, according to him, nothing could be further from the truth, and the media “understand that, too.”

After assuring his audience that he will support them, he continued to rail against the media saying that they had purposely tried to make his inauguration turnout look smaller than it was.

“I looked out, the field was – it looked like a million, a million and a half people. They showed a field where there was practically nobody standing there,” he said. “It said we drew 250,000 people. Now, that’s not bad, but it’s a lie. We had 250,000 people, literally, in the around in the little bowl that we constructed.”
